A Better Approach to Essay Coaching
We believe the best essays come from authentic self-reflection, not templates. Here's how we help students do their best work.
Personalized Strategy
Every student has a unique story. We help weave your application — extracurriculars, honors, and experiences — into one cohesive narrative through your essays.
Brainstorming Sessions
Turn ordinary experiences into compelling essays with structured brainstorming and creative exploration.
Detailed Feedback
Receive comprehensive edits with clear explanations — not just corrections, but the reasoning behind them.
Authentic Voice
Your essay should sound like you. We refine your writing while preserving what makes it genuinely yours.
Stress-Free Process
Clear deadlines, organized planning, and accountability to keep you on track. Track everything — essays, progress, and deadlines — right from your student portal.
Competition & Research Essays
Beyond college applications — get expert guidance for essay competitions and academic research writing.
Family Partnership
We keep parents informed and involved while empowering students to own their writing process.
Coaching, Not Ghostwriting
There's an important difference between coaching and writing for someone. Here's how we draw that line.
We guide. We never ghostwrite. Every idea, every sentence, and every story in your essay comes from you. Our job is to ask the right questions, provide honest feedback, and help you organize your thoughts clearly and compellingly.
We believe strongly in the ethical integrity of the college admissions process. Students who submit authentic work develop confidence, writing skills, and self-awareness that serve them long after application season ends.
Our coaching process is designed to empower students — not create dependency. By the end of our work together, you'll have a polished essay and the skills to write effectively in college and beyond.
How We Turn Experiences Into Essays
A proven four-step process that Michael developed and used himself — now adapted to help you find and tell your best story.
Discover the Story
We start by excavating your experiences — not with a formula, but with real conversations that surface the moments only you can write about.
Draft with Purpose
Every sentence earns its place. We coach you toward clear, specific, detail-driven prose that shows who you are rather than telling.
Sharpen the Angle
A good story isn't enough. We help you connect it to the prompt and to the person a admissions officer wants to admit.
Refine Until It Sings
We iterate — tightening structure, cutting filler, polishing voice — until the essay feels unmistakably yours and impossible to put down.
